Post Festival Post No.1

Well it’s a mixture of relief and disbelief here at DHV H.Q, did that really just happen?… For us it was all a bit of a blur, but a very enjoyable blur.

Our feedback has been overwhelmingly positive so far, there were no dramas and the festival had a “very relaxed and friendly vibe” the weather held out for us and although we felt the festival could have been better attended the parks people have estimated we had ten thousand throughout the day with four thousand people at any one time throughout the festival site so not bad we hope you all enjoyed it.

Thanks to all of you who filled in the feedback forms we will be looking at and learning from these in the weeks to come and please don’t hesitate to leave us feedback on the site – good or bad it’s all important to us.

There will be more updated in coming posts and more thanks I am sure once we have recovered and have had time to reflect.

One piece of feedback that stood out to us was “where was the recycling” this may have been one of the messages that didn’t get through to the community on the day but we are a green Festival and all our…or to be precise 95% of our waste is being recycled. We used volunteer litter pickers(thank you) throughout the day and after the festival to fill a Reston Waste refuse skip. Reston Waste are a licensed waste carrier, and highly committed to recycling all of our waste.

This aspect of the festival was very important to us as we love the park and are committed to leaving it as we found it. We must thank Willesden Green ward who provided the funds to make this possible.
